The standard
Foundational means multiple appropriate sources support a relatively stable core conclusion, though details can change. Developing means credible evidence exists but important replication, duration, population, implementation, or safety questions remain. Mixed means relevant evidence meaningfully conflicts or benefits and harms depend strongly on formulation or setting. Current-event marks time-sensitive reporting; policy marks Kadomony’s declared process rather than an empirical health effect.

How it works in practice
Editors assess design, risk of bias, consistency, directness, precision, publication bias, absolute effect, harms, and applicability. Labels apply to the page’s central synthesis, while individual claims may carry different certainty. A label never substitutes for sources, does not convert association into causation, and is changed with a dated explanation when new evidence materially shifts the conclusion.
