Two tracks

Say which track you are asking for.

Every submission is screened, and screening is not peer review. Name the track you want when you submit; the published record carries the label for the track it actually completed, never the one that was requested. A preprint can move to the peer-reviewed track later without changing its address, and the versions stay linked.

Preprint — not peer reviewed

Screened, then published with a label stating that no peer review took place.

  • Screening covers scope, authorship, ethics, registration, conflicts, reporting standards, and whether the work can be responsibly hosted.
  • Nothing in screening tests whether your methods are sound or your conclusions hold.
  • The label appears on the page, the PDF record, and the metadata, and stays attached to that version.

Peer reviewed by Kadomony

Published only after a declared review process is completed and documented.

  • At least two relevant independent reviews, with methods or statistics review where the work is quantitative.
  • The decision is held by an editor with no stake in the paper, and is a judgement rather than a count of reviewer votes.
  • Where no independent editor can be engaged for a submission, this track is not offered for it; the work may still be published as a preprint.

Submission path

  1. Save metadata as a private draft and list every author, affiliation, conflict, and relevant ethics statement.
  2. Upload a PDF manuscript up to 20 MB. Each upload is retained as an immutable version in private storage, with a limit of 10 versions per submission.
  3. Submit the record for editorial screening. Kadomony distinguishes screening from peer review and records every later status change.
  4. If accepted, the final scholarly record is curated manually for Zenodo and a separate plain-language explanation may be published on Kadomony.

Before you upload

  • Do not include patient-identifying information, confidential records, or unpublished raw datasets.
  • PDFs must not be encrypted or contain active scripts, launch actions, or embedded files.
  • Upload validation checks the PDF format and active-content markers; it is not an antivirus scan.
  • Submission, screening, or Zenodo community acceptance does not itself mean peer review.
